Miles Morland Foundation Scholarships for African Writers, 2017


Miles Morland Foundation is pleased to offer Scholarships to African writer/journalists. This grant is interested in anybody writing in the English dialect who was born in Africa or both of whose parents were conceived in Africa. 

Miles Morland set up the establishment which bears his name in 2013, after a profession putting resources into Africa by means of two organizations he made, Blakeney Management and DPI (Development Partners International). Situated in London, the Miles Morland Foundation (MMF) is a UK philanthropy which makes gives in regions mirroring its organizer's advantages. The Foundation's principle point is to help elements in Africa which enable Africans to show signs of improvement listened. It is especially keen on supporting African writing work and African literature. 

Course Level: Scholarship is interested in African Writers.

To qualify for the Scholarship a candidate must submit an excerpt from a piece of work of between 2,000 – 5,000 words written in English that has been published and offered for sale,. It is not the purpose of the Scholarships to support academic or scientific research, or works of special interest such as religious or political writings. Submissions or proposals of this nature do not qualify.

Nationality: African journalists ( Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe) are qualified to apply for this grant program. 

Africa Scholarships 

The most effective method to Apply: The main condition forced on the Scholars amid the time of their Scholarship is that they should compose. They will be made a request to submit by email no less than 10,000 new words each month until the point when they have completed their book or their Scholarship expression has finished.
