Latest admission into university cut off mark today, the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife in Osun state, South West Nigeria and the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, South East Nigeria, with the forty-one other prominent universities owned by the Federal, State and Private individuals and organizations have Economical Confidential reports authoritatively, as minimum cut-off marks is between 180-200 for admissions into their respective institutions.
Cut-Off Points In a painstaking search and carefully computed data from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the National Universities Commission in Nigeria, the computations of the Economic Confidential show that these higher institutions are considered as Grade 'A' Universities of JAMB tertiary matriculation examinations with a minimum of 180-200 scores.
Apart from the above, most of them are first and second generation federal Universities and they have high standards in education.
Investigations further reveal that there are other tertiary institutions in the country, as seen in Grade 'B' with minimum cut-off marks is between 150-170 and foremost among them are Adamawa State University, Mubi, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun state; Redeemers University, Ogun State; American University of Nigeria Road; Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, Oyo State; Baze University, Abuja; Kwararafa University, Wukari, Taraba state, and 74 other institutions across cutting edge Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education, owned by federal, state and private individuals and organizations.
These institutions are categorized as Grade 'B' are categorized as federal, state and private universities and polytechnics.
The private universities in this category use the terms of their income generation drive to stay afloat.
The investigations also show that there are cut-off marks between 100-145 who are still categorized as grade 'C'. They are among the 167 universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other institutions owned by federal, state and private individuals and organizations.
Economic Confidential search further reveals that Nigerians have a number of categories that have been denied by admission due to the fact that most of these applicants are either " A "and" B "would not condone and certainly admitted the grade 'C' category.
Using the JAMB's report in the most prestigious universities in the world, the economic intelligence of the applicants, the applicability of their applicability. The tertiary institutions' minimum admission cut-off was a collective decision of stakeholders in the education sector.
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Isaac Oloyede, insisted that stakeholders in the education sector unanimously agreed on the minimum cut-off marks for the 2017 academic year.
